Letter of Farewell (別れの手紙, Wakare no Tegami) is the 8th episode of Gibiate anime series.
Synopsis[]
When the group makes a pit stop to try and allow a wounded Sensui to rest, Yurika is stabbed by Gibia. Yet even as Yurika's injury brings great sadness to them all, a swarm of Gibia attacks without mercy... Can they make it through this disaster?!
Summary[]
Yurika Funada is in front of the camera and introduces herself. As she wonders for what to talk, Kathleen suggests about her most happy and saddest moment. Yurika states her most happy moment was Kathleen's birth, while her saddest was her husband's dead. Yurika doesn't want to see anymore deaths and prefers she to die first before Kathleen.
Yurika gets stung by a lizard Gibia, Kenroku notices and kills the Gibia. Dr. Yoshinaga tells them it may not be fatal if the Gibia had stung someone else in the last 24 hours. They settle up inside for Sensui to rest. During the night, Yurika disappears and Kenroku and Ayame go out looking for her. Kathleen finds a letter in which Yurika gives her farewell and tells her she can't be with her until the end of her journey, but she will be okay with Sensui and the rest with her. Yurika promises that if she doesn't become a Gibia, she will return. Yukinojyo tries to comfort Kathleen, stating that her smile saved him in this world and while he can't ask her to smile, he at least wants her to not feel lonely and cry. Yukinojyo then states he was really surprised to find how delicious the curry was and if they had to eat something as delicious in his era, he believes no one would have to kill. Kathleen realizes that Yukinojyo came from a much crueler time and decides to give him a charm that her mother had given her and to sew it on his clothes, so he doesn't lose it.
Ayame blames herself for not finding and killing that Gibia, and Kenroku tries to comfort her. Yurika is hiding in a car with her transformation symptoms appearing, however Kenroku and Ayame pass by her and don't notice her. They continue to a store, where they fight some lizard Gibia and gets some supplies.
Kathleen and Yukinojyo hear some noises and see a large group of Gibia gathering. They decide to go out fighting them, however Yuiknojyo closes the door and leaves Kathleen inside, while he goes out by himself. He states that if there is someone he loves, he can die for them and then engages the Gibia.
